Located in the lower Catalina Foothills on the eastern side of Tucson, Sunrise Mountain Ridge (SMR) is the largest of the twelve communities comprising Fairfield in the Foothills. SMR has 291 homes in seven different models, ranging from 1,650 to 2,450 square feet. SMR is in a highly desirable area due to its quiet privacy and convenient location very close to Sabino Canyon and other hiking areas, the Rillito River bikepath (part of the 154 mile “Loop”) and not far from the University of Arizona and downtown Tucson.

Because the community sits on a ridge overlooking Tucson, many homes in SMR provide exquisite views of the twinkling lights of Tucson and the Rincon Mountains. Sweeping, panoramic vistas of the nearby Santa Catalina Mountains and the distant Tucson and Santa Rita mountains make SMR a special place to reside. Due to our location and private streets, there is not much traffic passing through the subdivision. Yet, we are not too far from River Road, Kolb Road, Craycroft Road, and Sunrise Drive. SMR has two heated swimming pools, each with a hot tub, as well as a tennis and pickle ball court. We have 38 acres of common areas, all celebrating the desert. We are self-governed, which keeps our dues modest.
